Besides, the texture of the grass does wonders for sound reduction and resonance in big spaces! FLORAL DESIGN BY DARBY'S COTTAGE To create a small pampas clouds ball you need just 3 main tools: Chickenwire Zip ties Fishing line Make sure that your pampas grass is dry first! 1. Form a loose ball shape from the chicken wire and use clippers to trim away the excess wire. You can make the chicken wire a bit more loose by rolling it a little and softly bend it a bit. 2. Place three to four small self-adhesive hooks to your ceiling. If you can use real hooks in the venue, that's even better! Hang the wireframe using the fishing line or clear wire. Tip: You can spray the pampas grass with (cheap) reliable hairspray before you place them in the chickenwire! This might help against shedding when they are hung to the ceiling. Always shake each reed outdoors first to remove any loose pieces. 3. Place the pampas grass stems diagonally in any direction or configuration you want. Keep it spare, or fill out the whole frame. The choice is all up to you! Interior design Add some creativity by weaving them into baskets or placing them on lengthy tabletop as big, eye-catching centerpieces. Have you ever thought about twisting lengths together to create an intriguing arrangement with more dimension? We don't know about you but we sure can't stop buying oversized vases... No idea where we'll place them, but we need them anyway! Place a couple of pampas stems in your favorite vases and let them shine on your living room floor! Also, try placing the reeds against a black wall to create a beautiful mystical contrasting image! Do you have a mantel at home or in the space you need to decorate? Throw everything out and place an eye-catching middle-sized vase with different length stems on your mantel that will catch anyone's attention when they walk through the door! How to handle tinted flowers and roses. Using dyed flowers in your arrangement is an opportunity for a whole new level of creativity! Some event themes call for flower colors that cannot be found in nature. Tinted flowers are perfectly suitable to shake things up and to let your imagination run wild through the most beautiful colors that you can imagine. The general handling process of tinted flowers or roses is just about the same as a standard flower or rose but there are a few things that you should keep in mind. Here are some tips & tricks that you should know to get the most out of your flowers & arrangement! Keep the tinted roses and flowers in their own separate bucket of water. The stem dye changes that watercolor and could therefore affect the other flowers in the bucket. Since the water inside the container will most likely change color, you might want to choose a container that isn't clear. Tinted roses last typically way longer than a standard rose. The petals on tinted roses will not turn transparent or mold as quickly as a regular rose. if the leaves become wet, the dye could seep through so be careful with your clothes when handling and processing the flowers. Advise your customers when they are purchasing so they can be sure to avoid this also. Florists & designers will often use picks in bouquets or arrangements for holidays such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or St. Patrick's Day. Make sure that these are made of treated wood or plastic in order to avoid fungal bacterial growth in the vases. Tip: Be very careful to avoid using tinted roses or flowers at a wedding. As the tint could sometimes bleed onto the bride's white dress. iBuyflowers has an extensive tinted roses wholesale assortment available, only from premium growers.
